The leaders of the Shas Party have threatened to leave Netanyahu’s coalition cabinet and dissolve the parliament for the fifth time in a row if Darei’s competence is not approved by the judiciary.
At the same time, there are reports of Netanyahu’s presence at Shas’ house with the aim of getting his satisfaction and preventing the departure of the Derei party from the Israeli cabinet.
The Shas party won 11 Knesset seats in the October 2022 parliamentary elections, and if it leaves Netanyahu’s coalition cabinet, it will lead Israel to the sixth consecutive election.
